SEA&SEA YS-D130R Underwater Flash The successor to the legendary YS-250Pro For the first time since the YS-250PRO, the YS-D130R features a newly developed circular flash tube combined with a special reflector that ensures stable and even light output. The soft, evenly diffused circular beam illuminates your subject without harsh hotspots, creating soft, natural shadows and beautifully balanced lighting across the entire frame. When shooting at close range with marine life, the circular catchlight appears naturally in the subject's eyes, adding depth, expression, and a vibrant presence for stunning underwater portraits. Natural and soft light The YS-D130R is designed with a color temperature of 5600 K, which closely resembles natural daylight. Higher color temperatures produce cooler, bluish tones, while lower values produce warmer, reddish tones – 5600 K ensures a perfectly balanced, natural look. Thanks to an amber-colored coating on the flash tube, the YS-D130R produces a soft and natural light that closely resembles sunlight underwater. While diffusers typically alter the color temperature, the YS-D130R's special diffuser is designed to maintain consistent color fidelity, ensuring stable and natural lighting for every shot. Features: RC Mode Officially Certified by OM Digital Solutions Corporation The YS-D130R supports the RC mode of the OM SYSTEM Wireless RC Flash System by OM Digital Solutions. Flash output can be precisely controlled via digital light signals from the camera, enabling accurate exposure control. When used with a compatible camera, this feature provides a more convenient and seamless underwater photography experience. Intuitive Color LCD Display for Clear Visibility The YS-D130R features a color LCD display that clearly shows essential information such as battery level, flash mode, and exposure compensation at a glance. Icons and numerical indicators ensure excellent visibility, even in dark underwater environments or during night dives. The selected mode is always displayed during shooting, and each shooting mode is color-coded for instant identification. All modes and settings are displayed digitally, allowing you to seamlessly and intuitively adapt them to your shooting style and camera system. Dual Battery System for Maximum Flexibility The YS-D130R is the world's first flash unit to feature a dual battery system compatible with both a high-capacity lithium-ion battery and standard AA batteries (Ni-MH or alkaline). This innovative design offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to adapt to different shooting conditions and power sources. When using the dedicated lithium-ion battery, the flash achieves a high recycle rate for rapid continuous shooting, ensuring you never miss a crucial underwater moment. Supports High-Speed Sync (HSS) A conventional flash emits a single flash while the shutter is fully open. At shutter speeds faster than the sync speed, part of the image would typically be blocked by the moving shutter curtains, resulting in a dark band across the image. With High-Speed Sync (HSS), the YS-D130R emits a rapid succession of flashes as the shutter curtains move across the sensor. This enables perfect synchronization at fast shutter speeds, ensuring smooth and consistent illumination of the entire image—even when shooting in bright environments or with wide apertures. To use High-Speed Sync (HSS), the following conditions must be met: The camera must support HSS/FP flash. The communication system between the camera and flash unit must also support HSS. In OM SYSTEM RC mode, the FP flash operates as "TTL HSS." In other systems, it operates as "Manual HSS." Completely redesigned battery cover A completely redesigned waterproof construction has moved the sealing surface from the cover to the flash unit itself, minimizing the risk of water ingress when opening or closing. The battery is now secured inside the flash unit, preventing accidental drops during handling and making operation safer and more reliable in any diving environment. This allows for easy opening and closing, as well as a reduced risk of water ingress. DS-TTL mode
